Stefana Attard (Producer / Project Manager)

Having gained a HND in Media Production and BA Hons in PhotoMedia and Design Communications in 1997, I spent a year temping for various media companies including Granada Television, Sony Entertainment, Telstar Video, World Productions & Specific Films.

In September of 1998 I started working at The Walt Disney Company in the Buena Vista Film Department, from here I moved to a new department that was starting up in the London offices, The Walt Disney Internet Group. All of the 14 Disney European websites were co-ordinated from this London office. I spent 2 years within this department where I started as a production co-ordinator in web and finished as Associate Producer in interactive TV.

In December of 2000 I joined Sky Interactive as an Interactive TV Producer. During my year at Sky I was responsible for the production of various eTV services including Temptation Island, Single Girls, & Sky Buy all for Sky One. I also produced Studio Disney’s eTV service and the BBC’s Children In Need application.

In December 2001 I left Sky Interactive and joined the Interactive Drama & Entertainment department at the BBC as an eTV Producer where I worked till moving to Spain in 2007.

During my time at the BBC I worked on many amazing projects, all within the world of enhanced TV. Some of the interactive services I produced included karaoke services like How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria, film enhancements like Glastonbury Film Interactive and interactive dramas like Spooks Interacitve. Entertainment projects I worked on included Eurovision Interactive, Making Your Mind Up Extra and various play along quizzes like Test The Nation to name but a few.

The highlight of my time at the BBC was producing and directing Spooks Interactive ‘The Modules’ in 2004. This service along with Spooks Interactive ‘The Mission’ won a Bafta for Best Interactive Service, a D&AD award for Interactive TV and a Grand prix and Best Game award at Mila Awards 2005.

All these projects have allowed me to develop my skills of copy writing, scripting, filming, editing, to general project management skills like budgeting, scheduling and coordinating as well as allowing me an understanding of various new media technologies

I am now using all my experience and knowledge of new media production in my latest challenge of running Aqua Creative, here on the coast, with my husband, Lee Attard. I am sure it will bring along plenty of new challenges and even greater, more satisfying rewards.
